Beware of unlicensed and uninsured tree care contractors. They are out in force!
Everyone claims to be licensed and insured. Take a few minutes to contact the insurance agent if provided and request a current insurance certificate. Then go online to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources to verify licensing.
If the contractor that you select does not have liability insurance, you are responsible for all damage that may occur. If they do not have workman’s compensation insurance, you are directly responsible for any injuries that may be sustained on your property.
And remember…tree care contractors perform the most dangerous job in the world.
